Two long serving members of the Birmingham Health Mentor Team are moving on to pastures new from September 2011.

Paul Eaton and Dan Collins have impressed their host schools to such an extent that each school has secured their services on a permanent basis by transferring their employment from Evolve to their own payroll.

Paul Eaton has worked for Evolve for the past nine years and is currently a full time Health Mentor at St Georges CE Primary School.  Paul provides PE support in the mornings as PPA cover followed by Playground Animation at lunchtime, Classroom Coaching in the afternoon and After School Clubs from 3.30pm.

Paul has been based at St Georges for the past three years and both the school and Evolve feel that this is the right move for Paul who can develop other skills and fulfil different roles under the new terms of his employment.

Dan Collins has progressed from an excellent after school Activity Leader to a much sought after PE Instructor before becoming a full time Health Mentor at Chad Vale Primary School two years ago.  This journey has taken Dan three years to complete and he is now continuing to develop his career by becoming a qualified teaching assistant from September 2011.

Dan has shown tremendous commitment and dedication to his role this year where he has worked towards a L3 teaching assitant qualification whilst also studying towards his Activity Leadership Apprenticeship.

Both Dan and Paul will remain heavily involved with Project HERO in Birmingham and attend training with Evolve Education.  We thank them for the quality of their hard work and significant contribution to Evolve and the hundreds of childrens lives they have impacted for the better since they first started many years ago.  We wish them both well in their new roles and the next stage of their careers.
